Come To the Fair!

Each of us has a special memory of fair. Think of fair and some of you are thinking of the fellowship with friends from across the county. Perhaps your fair memory is about showing livestock, baking a champion pie, stitching a quilt or dress for exhibit or eating a 4-H beef burger with your grandparents followed by the best pie and ice cream around; it’s the magic of the moment that you cherish. Some may recall a family story of coming to the fair and having a flat tire en route; others might tell a tale of little brother sitting down on sister’s “would have been champion” cake! Fairs are a tradition that cross generations.

Come celebrate the magical moments of the 103rd Atchison County Fair and enjoy the aroma of fair food, children laughing, fun events, carnival rides, great entertainment and more.  The Atchison County fair returns August 11-15 to celebrate the best there is in the county. The Atchison County Fair is a feel good family event. With a strong tradition of volunteers working together to promote the best of Atchison County, we invite you to join the celebration. The fair showcases the skills, talents and craftsmanship of local citizens.  Make plans to bring an exhibit, congratulate a youth on a job well done, come to the parade, invest in the community as you enjoy fair food or volunteer to sit in an exhibit room and chat with friends from across the county. Check out the fair catalogs for schedule details; then take time to Celebrate the Magical Moments that only a county fair has to offer.

As you walk the fair grounds, you’ll be proud of Atchison County’s youth. With a proud past of over 100 years of youth development programs, 4-H members continue to celebrate the magical moments that a county fair offers when gaining leadership, citizenship and life skills. The Atchison County Fair educates, entertains, showcases and celebrates the magical moments that only a County Fair can offer.

There will be hundreds of magical moments to celebrate during the Fair. Coming to the fair is like taking a vacation without leaving town. Join us and celebrate the magical moments.
